Hi, I’m Josh. I wanna make truly natural skinare.

After suffering for years, I wanted to make a natural deodorant that actually worked.

Approved by independent chemists

Manufactured to GMP standards

Approved by UK & EU regulations

Embarrassing as it is..

I suffer from both hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) and mega-death body odour, along with a nice big dose of extreme anxiety.

Combine all of this and you’ve got a serious issue; most deodorants not lasting more than 2 hours and even the strongest ‘4 layer protection’ antiperspirants allowing me to sweat through hoodies & jumpers in winter.

The last straw was popping on 3 different brand of 48-72 hour antiperspirants in order to go out to a concert, only for them to all fail miserably.

😓

Most deodorants only lasted 2 hours, the stronger ones would either burn & cause rashes, or turn my armpits into a rubbery mess which was impossible to wash off.

😣

Some deodorants caused severe rashes and pain which could last up to a week, usually the baking soda ones.

Wait, natural ingredients aren’t…natural?

Ingredients that are chemically altered & totally synthetic go into ‘natural’ cosmetics & skincare.

I decided to make my own deodorant, but quickly realized that because ‘natural’ isn’t a regulated term in cosmetics, any brand can use it for any reason. That ‘Natural’ cream might contain 100% synthetic, man-made ingredients like Cetyl Alcohol or Butylene Glycol which are made through processes such as hydrogenation or oxidizing under acidic conditions with a catalyst. Some ingredients, such as Citric Acid, are natural. Citric acid is found in lemons, however most of Citric Acid now is manufactured through the fermentation of sugar with black mold, for example.

Realizing this, I set out to create a deodorant that was truly natural in every sense of the word. No synthetic ingredients, nothing chemically altered or changed, and no ‘nature identical ingredients’. Just 100% nature in a bottle.

Real world example of a ‘natural’ skincare product

Here’s the ingredients in one of my wife’s “96%+ natural ingredients” cleansers. The ones highlighted red are what I’d personally class as not natural. Ingredients highlighted blue are found naturally, but will most likely be manufactured synthetically. Green ingredients are actually natural.

Water, Glyceryl Stearate, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Capric Triglyceride, Glycerine, Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate, Polydimethylsiloxane, Almond oil, Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Polyacrylate, Panthenol, Benzoic Acid, Xanthan gum, Dehydeoacetic acid, 2-bromo-2-nitropropane-1, 2-diol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Polyaminopropyl Biguanide, Citric Acid

3 years in the making

Yep, it took me 3 years of faffing with ferments, prebiotics, oils, plant extracts, and so much more to finally find the right combo.

But there it is, 9 plant extracts and waters, and a dash of natural grain alcohol to keep it from going bad in the bottle. While it won’t stop me (or you) from sweating (what will?!) it’ll keep you fresh all day. I’m happy with it, and I hope you’ll be too 🙂
